Questions ? ? ?

How much equipment does the ComfortChoice solution require to be installed in my home?
A typical home installation would include Carrier's EMi system, which is comprised of an attractively styled 7-day programmable, 2-way communicating, thermostat that replaces your existing thermostat and a controller board with small (7") antenna that typically would be installed near your heating or cooling equipment.

How do I know if my home HVAC equipment can have an EMi system connected to it?
Carrier's EMi replaces your home's existing thermostat. No new wires will need to be run at your home. The EMi works with any central air conditioning or heat pump system, as well as any ducted central heating system.

Can I cancel a temperature setback initiated by my utility company?
Homeowners retain ultimate control over their comfort and have full flexibility to override a utility company setback directly from their EMi thermostat or remotely over the Web at any time.

I stayed home from work today, how do I suspend my EMi thermostat's regular program schedule?
The program schedule can be overridden by either adjusting the temperature setpoint to create a temporary override or adjusting the temperature and pressing the HOLD key to maintain that setting indefinitely.

Will this system interfere with my TV, VCR, Phone, Cable, etc?
The EMi system uses an FCC approved two way paging technology that does not use phone lines and will not cause interference with other systems in your home.

What home thermostat settings can I access over the Internet?
Using the EMi's innovative web interface, Homeowners have the ability to securely control all of the same thermostat features that you can adjust locally at the thermostat itself. You can check the operating status of your HVAC system, adjust cooling and heating setpoints, change the system mode (heat, cool, off, auto), fan mode (auto, on), and override any temperature setpoint curtailment commands. As an option, you can also program your thermostat schedule over the Internet.

How can I apply to participate in ComfortChoice?
Contact your local Utility company to see if they presently or in the future plan to offer a ComfortChoice program in your area.
